Any changes to description vs guideline recently?

Question

The model I am using has so far quite reliable extracted supplier domains from documents. I had only a short 1-liner in the description and a more detailed instruction in the guideline. As said it was quite reliable so far. But now I realized that it does not follow this prompt to well anymore – has something changed recently?
When I put everything in description it seems to work better but not 100% sure yet. Just want to better understand where to put which instructions so I can optimize.

    Hi, there can be slight changes to how natural language is interpreted as our models are improved.

    Guidelines are typically preferable when you need to add conditional statements and/or post processing. For example “if the value of the field is XXX, change the return value to YYY”.

    Also for helping the model better identify the value in the document, i.e. “the field is usually located on the right of the document, and will always be 3 digits followed by 5 letters.“

    Description is typically preferable when you want to describe what the field does, and what its use is to you. For example “the field is used in internal processing to match our user ID with the last name on the document“.
