Page-Specific Data Extraction

I’m working with a 16-page credit score report, but the information I need to extract is located only on page 8. It would be extremely useful to have the ability to target a specific page for parsing and extraction, rather than processing the entire document.

    Hi, this feature is available in our client libraries.

    Which programming language do you use?

      Hi,

      We're using Node.js with the Mindee JavaScript client library (v4).

      We need page selection functionality for our credit report processing to control costs. Specifically, we want to process only pages 2, 5, and 6 from multi-page credit reports instead of all pages.

      Could you provide the exact syntax for page selection using:

      1. The JavaScript client library with custom models

      2. The v2 REST API endpoint (/v2/inferences/enqueue)

      We've tried various parameter formats (pageOptions, page_options, pages) but haven't achieved the expected page limitation results.

      Thanks for your help!

        Hello Romain,

        The nodejs library does not yet support v2, and is still in active developpement. You can monitor the advancement on the repo here. At any rates, it should be out within the next couple of days.

        Regarding page cutting, the syntax for v1 (& soon for v2) should be:

        const inputDoc = new PathInput({
              inputPath: path.join("path/to/the/file.ext"),
            });
            await input.init();
            await input.cutPdf({
              operation: PageOptionsOperation.KeepOnly,
              pageIndexes: [1, 4, 5], // Indexing starts at 0
              onMinPages: 6, // Presumably, we don't cut if there aren't at least 6 pages in the document
            });

        Then you can send this inputDoc as you would a regular one.

        Best,

        Sebastian

        Hello, we’ve since update Node.js to have support for v2:

        https://docs.mindee.com/getting-started/integrating-mindee#sending-a-file

        For the PDF page options, I’ve added some documentation here (documentation still ongoing):

        https://docs.mindee.com/integrations/client-libraries-sdk/send-a-file#pdf-page-manipulations

        Hope this helps

    Hello Romain,
    Thanks for your feedback. We’ll have a look internally and see if we can include it in the roadmap :)
